HockeyCheckr.com was created by a guy who started playing hockey in the 80's (poorly, I might add....). Whenever he and his friends would go to Skate 'N Shoot (what it's called in upstate NY), they could never know how many other skaters or goalies would be there before arriving – a problem which still faces recreational hockey players today! Years later, as an adult with a job, family, responsibilities, etc, going to Skate 'N Shoot was a great way to exercise and still enjoy playing the game, and he would look forward to that one Skate 'N Shoot Session at the end of the week. Imagine the let down when he arrived excited to skate, only to find that there were 3 or 4 other skaters, and no goalies to mind the net! Or, as would sometimes happen, there were way TOO MANY skaters, and he barely broke a sweat. So, it felt like kind of a waste of time driving across town, getting his equipment on, etc, and a waste of the money he paid. And the next week, maybe he wasn't so likely to show up himself. And he KNEW he wasn't alone!

So HockeyCheckr.com is here so hockey players can find Sessions that fit their schedule, see how many other skaters and goalies say they're going to be there, Pledge to be there themselves, and even save some money by choosing to Prepay!
